World Book Day and Copyright Day, is observed every year on 23rd of April. It was decided by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to observe a day that promotes reading, publishing and copyright. The first World Book Day was celebrated on 23rd April in the year 1995.
It promotes the habit of reading and to make people more aware of the importance of books. World Book Day gives a way to offer great tribute to books and authors.
Books are the plane and the train, and the road. They are the destination and the journey. They are home.
