Held every year on April 23, it recognises books as powerful tools that connect generations, preserve history and bridge cultures across the world.<\/p><p>On this day, the three major stakeholders in the book industry \u2014 publishers, booksellers and libraries \u2014 come together and organise various events to promote book reading.
